THE CANAL DU MIDI
Work classified in the Patrimony fo the Humanity by the UNESCO, the Canal du Midi, built by the biterrois Pierre Paul Riquet, crosses all western Languedoc Roussillon to join the Atlantic ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. With its length of 240 km and its 65 locks, it represents the most beautiful and the most                               different landscapes of the region.
